Q1. Please explain your motivation, background, and process to enter the IUI our field (field of social sciences and humanities).

I had a fascination to Japan from my childhood. I visited Japan in 2019 and went to YNU. The nice campus and excellent profile of the professor motivated me. Later, I talked to a professor, sat the entrance examination, and applied for the MEXT scholarship. Finally, I got a chance to IUI of YNU.

Q2. Please describe your process from your graduate to actual situation(for example, employment, starting up business, continuing research...)

Before, I was a lecturer at the Jagannath University in Bangladesh. After graduation from YNU, I returned to my previous job and was promoted to assistant professor. In addition, my research expertise and exposure have increased rapidly which contributes to my professional life.

Q3. Your life and experiences in the period of a graduate student of IUI/this field, do you think how that contributes to your actual status or life?

I have a very good impression to Japan especially to YNU. The education system, friendly office, well-decorated lab, and good behavior attracted me. I did research on factors of unemployment among educated women which is my present teaching area. Now, I am doing research project on unemployed women.

Q4. Please talk about actual your goals, dreams, and objectives.

My main goal is to do something better for the women in Bangladesh. I believe, one day women will be empowered rather than men that are my dream. Considering this, I am working on various activities to improve women's education, employment, and equal family decisions.

Q5. Please give some advice to your juniors.

I think, you have made the right decision to admit into YNU. It has everything to enrich you, for instance, high-profile faculties, lab facilities, rich libraries, and international environment. Take the opportunities and explore yourself in your world. It will be a good path to reach your goal. I hope, you will be a good Alumni of YNU in the future.
